This vibrant Aliwal Arts Centre will celebrate next year’s Singapore Art Week (Jan 13-19) with quite a bang. Immerse yourself in the creations of these multi-faceted local talents through a series of exhibitions, musical performances and art jams. Watch visual artist Tang Ling Nah as she works with dancers and musicians across different art practices in a unique multi-disciplinary showcase.
Participate with performance artist Malvina Tan and a ‘traveling trunk’, as she takes visitors on a nostalgic journey that traces the paths of old immigrants arriving along the Singapore River. On 18 January 2014, the Aliwal Arts Centre throws open its doors for a one night festival, featuring an energetic lineup of live bands, DJs, street art and dance performances by some of the city’s most talented artists.
Don’t miss Masia One, Fungkimunkees, Darker Than Wax, +65 Drum & Bass, O$P$ and the RSCLS as they give you a taste of Singapore’s urban art scene.
The Aliwal Urban Arts Festival is in conjunction with Art Week 2014.
